On October 17, 2024, the European Development Academy’s team of experts, comprising professionals from the Slovenian Border Police, Prosecutor’s Office, and Finance, convened with Ljupco Kocevski, North Macedonia’s State Public Prosecutor, and Gavril Bubevski, Head of the Skopje Prosecutor’s Office.
The meeting centred on advancing cooperation in addressing complex criminal cases involving human rights violations and systemic corruption. Discussions included the ongoing investigation into alleged malpractice at the Skopje Oncology Department, specifically concerning the misuse of cancer treatment medications.
Both North Macedonian and Slovenian specialists engaged in productive dialogues on enhancing the exchange of professional experiences and expertise to bolster the investigation and prosecution processes.
This collaboration marks a significant step toward reinforcing international partnerships in addressing critical challenges and ensuring justice.
