At the invitation of the Serbian Police Union (SSP – Sindikat srpske policije), representatives of the European Development Academy, Andreja Dolničar Jeraj and Dr Tatjana Dragović, participated in Policijada 2025, held in Užice, Serbia, from 30 May to 1 June 2025.
Policijada is a traditional sports and peer gathering event of the Serbian Police Union, bringing together police officers, union members, and representatives in an atmosphere that combines collegial exchange, visibility, and community-building. As such, it represents also an important opportunity for maintaining professional ties and strengthening trust within the wider policing community.
EDA’s participation took place in the context of its ongoing cooperation with police union partners in the region and its broader work related to dialogue, professional development, and future cooperation in the public sector.
During the event, EDA representatives also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić under the auspices of the gathering. It underlined the importance of open communication between police unions and public authorities in strengthening social dialogue in the public sector.
For EDA, participation in Policijada 2025 was a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, deepen contact with police union representatives, and better understand the wider community and professional environment in which its partners operate.
EDA values such invitations as important moments for building trust, maintaining professional relationships, and creating space for future cooperation in areas linked to public sector development, dialogue, and capacity-building.
